Review Methodology

MyHiFi is an evidence-synthesis publication. We compare independent measurements, professional evaluations, recurring owner patterns, verified specifications, and current alternatives; we do not claim hands-on testing we did not perform.

How scores are weighted

Technical Performance — 30% covers measured accuracy, distortion, output capability, acoustic behavior, reliability indicators, and the practical consequences of those findings.

Value Proposition — 30% compares verified price context against direct alternatives, capabilities, warranty, and expected useful life.

Build & Usability — 25% covers materials, ergonomics, controls, software, repairability, accessories, and daily ownership.

Versatility & Compatibility — 15% reflects connectivity, setup flexibility, source and partner compatibility, placement tolerance, and future usefulness.

Research standard

New reviews require at least five sources across three evidence tiers, including independent measurement evidence for electronics, multiple professional evaluations, aggregated owner patterns, and manufacturer documentation.
